期刊简介

River Research and Applications, previously published as Regulated Rivers: Research and Management (1987-2001), is an international journal dedicated to the promotion of basic and applied scientific research on rivers. The journal publishes original scientific and technical papers on biological, ecological, geomorphological, hydrological, engineering and geographical aspects related to rivers in both the developed and developing world. Papers showing how basic studies and new science can be of use in applied problems associated with river management, regulation and restoration are encouraged as is interdisciplinary research concerned directly or indirectly with river management problems.

The journal also publishes concept papers (see ARENA Section) short communications, regional and thematic review articles, and book reviews. Special thematic issues are an important feature.

在人地系统中，流域代表着复杂的能量流动和物质循环。流域建成环境体现出长期适应的过程，承载着多姿多彩的人类活动和日益变化的环境印记。河流沿线的自然环境、生态过程与人类活动相互关联，演化出异质性特征。从河流两岸的城乡梯度与空间结构，反映着国家、国际层面的经济、社会、文化与环境就可持续性发展面临的机遇与挑战。

流域建成环境展现出独具地方性的自然和文化特征，这有助于维持文化与地方认同，并为居民提供情感归属与社会认同感。流域城乡基础设施的建设过程应采取适当措施以及有效的监管流程，这对于优化人地关系、保证流域高质量发展有着重要意义。研究表明，流域及其建成环境通常体现出对环境变化的适应，对地方性特征的保持，呈现出韧性动态特征。

本次特刊主题为“流域建成环境的地方性与适应性”，旨在探讨解决与流域建成环境的可持续发展相关的问题，思考不同时间、空间尺度下建成环境的文化与自然适应性，以应对未来环境变化和社会挑战。本期特刊共刊发了17篇稿件，涵盖多学科视角，期待为流域建成环境的研究与实践提供借鉴。
